We are thrilled to announce that M. Wells Steakhouse, one of only three Michelin-rated steakhouses in NYC, is hosting us for an exceptional Trout dinner/Trout concert on Tuesday November 17th!
There is so much to love about this evening.
Both the menu and music program revolve around the playful idea of the Trout, as we will perform Franz Schubert's beloved "Trout" Quintet and the M. Wells kitchen will cook an all-Trout dinner featuring the classic "Truite au Bleu" and plenty more Trout-deliciousness, with wine pairings by wine director and sommelier Étienne Guérin. And to boot, Mr. Guérin's wine list has been called out by the New York Times as one of the top 10 most diverse and interesting in NYC.
Mr. Guerin, also a seasoned classical guitarist, will commit to the opening act, performing a sumptuous viola and guitar arrangement of another Schubert masterpiece ("Arpeggione" Sonata) with our violist, Kristina Giles.
Our very special take on the famous Schubert quintet also includes a whole new set of variations on the Trout theme that the ensemble commissioned from six composers which intertwine spectacularly with the original Schubert variations.
