Join THE COLONIALS for a unique and edgy gala performance in SoHo on Wednesday, April 2!  We will pair five of Luciano Berio's Sequenzas (virtuosic pieces written for solo instruments) with musical selections from the Baroque period and new compositions written by our own members. This is a rare chance to hear the unique colors of a few of Berio's most celebrated and difficult works, alongside contrasting pieces that will surely illuminate and inspire conversation and thought.

The event is being hosted by the Louis K. Meisel Gallery, which showcases photorealism art in the heart of SoHo.  In addition to a knockout program, here are some more great reasons to come:

Four sets of thrilling solo performances by THE COLONIALS will be paired with wine tastings, selected by Sommelier Yannick Benjamin of Le Du's Wines (Zagat's #1 ranked wine store of NYC). The wines will be paired to reflect each musical set, resulting in a wonderful sensory experience of taste and sound. Catering provided by bittergreen will compliment each wine tasting.

Have you ever wanted to sit in on a WXRR radio show or host a concert in your home? Bid for these and other great items such as music lessons, artwork by our own members, and a basket of wines from Le Du's! Between sets, enjoy light refreshments while browsing our silent auction, which will help fund our 2014-15 season.

This show is also a preview to next year's full production of The Sequenza Show, when our esteemed colleagues will join us to perform all fourteen of Berio's Sequenzas!  Money raised from the tickets and silent auction at this gala fundraiser will help to fund The Sequenza Show and other concerts for next year's season.
